1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Gambling Guardrails (“we,” “us”) about using gamblingguardrails.com and our programs. By applying, creating an account, or enrolling, you agree to these terms, our Privacy policy, and our Refund policy.

2. Coaching, not treatment

Gambling Guardrails offers coaching and education. Our programs are not medical care, mental health treatment, therapy, or counseling, and our coaches don’t diagnose or treat any condition, even if they hold professional credentials.

• Our programs aren’t a replacement for care from a doctor or licensed mental health professional. If you’re getting that kind of care, keep going.
• We can’t promise any particular result. Recovery looks different for everyone, and what you get out of a program depends on many things, including the effort you put in.

3. Who can join

• You must be 18 or older.
• Programs are for people living in the United States, and all content is in English.
• Every application is reviewed by a coach. We may decline an application if we think another kind of support would serve you better, and we’ll share other options when we do.

4. Your account

• Each account is for one person. Please don’t share your login.
• Keep your password private, and let us know right away if you think someone else has used your account.
• Please give us accurate information, especially your email address, since that’s how we reach you.

5. Programs and access

• Each program includes the lessons, trainings, workbook, and coaching sessions listed on our Programs page at the time you enroll.
• You’ll have access to your program for 12 months from the day you enroll. Coaching sessions must be used within those 12 months.
• We may update or improve lessons and trainings over time. If we replace something, the new version will cover the same ground or more.

6. Payment

• Prices are in U.S. dollars and paid in full, once, when you enroll. There are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Charges appear on your statement under a neutral name that doesn’t mention gambling.
• If someone else pays for your program, such as a family member, the program and account still belong to you.
• Refunds follow our Refund policy.

7. Live coaching sessions

• Coaching sessions are private, one-on-one video calls of about 50 minutes, booked through our online calendar.
• Neither you nor your coach may record a session without the other person’s written permission.
• Your coach may end a session early if they feel it isn’t safe to continue, or if anyone is being abusive or threatening.
• Rescheduling and missed-session rules are in our Refund policy.

8. Your safety

If you tell us something that makes us believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, we may contact emergency services. Other than that, we never contact your family, your employer, or anyone else about you.

9. Using our content

All lessons, videos, trainings, guides, and the workbook belong to Gambling Guardrails. When you enroll, you get a personal license to use them for your own recovery while your access is active. Please don’t:

• Copy, download, record, or share videos or lessons
• Share your account with anyone else
• Sell, publish, or reuse our content for any other purpose

Your workbook answers are yours. You can print them or save them as a PDF anytime while your access is active.

10. Using the site

Please don’t misuse the site. That includes trying to break into accounts or systems, interfering with how the site works, or using it for anything illegal.

11. Ending your access

You can stop using your program at any time. We may pause or end an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing logins or content, or by being abusive to a coach. If we end your access for a reason that isn’t your fault, we’ll refund the part of the program you haven’t used.

12. Disclaimers and limits

We work hard to make our programs helpful and our site reliable, but we provide them “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we don’t make promises beyond the ones in these terms, and we aren’t responsible for indirect losses, including money lost to gambling. If we’re ever found responsible for a loss, the most we’ll owe you is the amount you paid for your program.

Some states don’t allow certain limits like these, so some of them may not apply to you.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. If there’s ever a disagreement, please email us first. Most problems can be solved with a conversation.

14. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we’ll let current members know by email before it takes effect.
